CATS OF MARRAKECH

Wherever we go, cats are naturally drawn to Jeff, which is hilarious, because he's more of a dog person! As we were out & about today, we encountered many more cats than are represented here.  One was asleep, curled up on a motorcycle in a particularly noisy street. Another was curled up amidst a fruit seller's pomegranites & apples...nearly got a shot, but the store seller removed the cat before I could capture the image!

I thought it would be fun to share the cats of Marrakech & the important roles they play!

My job is to sit on the silver & beads & polish the dust off them before you decide to make a big purchase!

I sit behind the wheel of the motorbike to stop it rolling backwards!

My job is to stride around & patrol the souk. I make sure that no pesky mice or birds can get anywhere near my stalls!

I'm down & out in Palace Bahia. My job is to make you feel sorry for me, so that you'll want to adopt me, feed me & take me to the vet.

I'm a guard in the Palace. I keep an eye on all of you to make sure you don't bring any tasty food scraps into my vicinity.

Leave me in peace, I'm trying to get some sleep!

I'm just holding up this wall watching the world go by & posing for all you tourists who act as if you've never seen a cat before!!

Being colour coded to match the front door step, my job is to look aesthetically pleasing!!
