We had booked for dinner at 8.30pm, but were advised to go at least have an hour earlier, as our seats were two floors up & strategicly placed with a view over the famous Place Jemaa el-Fna & there was no guarantee that they would STAY booked until 8.30! What an amazing view over the hustle & bustle of a world heritage site, where Marrakechies haggled, fought, ate & socialised with each other!
Tourists were there too, giving vendors an opportunity to make a little more money. The lanterns were all lit up & looked spectacular...
...and for some reason, being nighttime, all the colours seemed brighter too.
Before going down there to wander amidst it all, we finished a sumptuous meal with expertly poured peppermint tea under the light of lacey metalwork!
